Good afternoon, dear Prayer Warriors,
We are in the fifth week of Easter. Today we remember St Rita of Cascia. Next Monday is the feast day of St Philip Neri and Tuesday is the memorial of St Augustine of Canterbury.
May all the angels and Saint Rita, St Philip, and St Augustine, part of the Church Triumphant, pray for us and lead us closer to Jesus as we continue to celebrate his Resurrection, our redemption and God's Divine Mercy.
We lift up prayers for the newly elected Pope Leo XIV and his intentions along with those Pope Francis had intended for us to pray this May: For working conditions
Let us pray that through work, each person might find fulfillment, families might be sustained in dignity, and society might be humanized.

Thanksgiving
We are united in gratitude for favors received and answered prayers of intentions for which we have prayed. Thank you dear God, for always hearing and answering our prayers according to your Divine Will and in your perfect timing.
We are thankful for all of the celebrations and milestones being recognized with joy among the families of Ascension parish, including graduations and sacraments.
We are grateful for all of the ways we show our love to God and others, to be able to shine our lights into the world.
We thank God for the gift of Mama Mary and the ways she nurtures and cares for us and all of humanity.
Forgiveness
We are sorry for the times when our lack of understanding or compassion may increase discord in our families or communities.
We ask forgiveness for not reaching out for reconciliation and being the first to forgive another.
We are sorry for the times we share gossip or allow negative or untrue comments about others to be shared.
Special Intentions
We join in prayers for the St Vincent de Paul team on rotation this week, may they be guided by the Holy Spirit and the love of neighbor in their visits to people in need.
We pray for peace. We lift up a fervent prayer that all may hear and follow the guidance of Jesus, the Prince of Peace, to lead us toward peace in our world, peace in our families and peace in our hearts.
We join in prayer for those with earthly power, that they may be servant leaders, following the Holy Spirit's guidance in wisdom, mercy, and justice.
In this Jubilee year of Hope, we pray for increased hope and trust in the Father's love for us and His power to work all things for the good, even when we don't understand, in our pain or sorrow.
We pray for the special intentions held in the hearts of each of our parishioners and friends.
Healing
We pray, through the intercession of St Peregrine, Saint Leopold Maria Mandich and St Agatha, for those with cancer diagnoses, undergoing testing and in treatment, throughout their challenges and while living their recovery.
We continue to lift up all those that have been on our cancer list and are continuing their journey to healing.
This week we lift up Debbie, whose cancer has metastasized and Madeline undergoing radiation treatments this week.
May all patients and their families have a spirit of fortitude, trust, peace, hope and, if it be the Lord's will, bestow miraculous healings! Above all, may they know that they are never alone in their struggles.
Through the intercession of St Dymphna, St John of God and St Benedict Joseph Labre, we lift up those in with mental and emotional health issues, including anxiety and depression, and seeking to be free from addictions. We also lift up their psychiatrists and professionals who work with them.
We lift up Pat Quatrocchi and all who have recently had, or will soon have, surgeries, including Alice who is having brain surgery today and Richard who went through liver and kidney transplants, that they may have successful health outcomes and come to full healing and restoration without side effects or pain.
We continue to lift up all those for whom have prayed for in the past, including little Sophie and Zachary, for all of their needs and those of their families, and for Christ's peace.
We share in special prayers for all in hospice and their families. May Steve, Tammy, Veronica, Bill Johnson, John Cooper, and Lee Pettingill have comfort, peace and loving care to surround them during this sacred time of transition. May St Joseph, patron of departing souls, be close to them.
Eternal Peace
We pray for the souls of those who will soon die and those who have passed to the Lord, especially
Ronnie Bryden whose funeral was Saturday
and all the holy souls in Purgatory
May they be united with Christ in Heaven, and may their loved ones have peace and consolation
