Good afternoon, dear Prayer Warriors,

We are in the seventh week of Easter in the month of June which is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Tomorrow is the feast of St Boniface. Friday we remember St Norbert. Sunday is Pentecost, the birthday of our church! Monday, is the Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church. Wednesday is the feast day of St Barnabus.

May all the angels, St Boniface, St Norbert, the apostles, Mama Mary, and St Barnabus, part of the Church Triumphant, pray for us and lead us closer to the Holy Spirit of love who wants to inspire, animate and lead us into deeper communion with the Father, the Son and each other.

We lift up prayers for Pope Leo XIV and his intentions along with those Pope Francis had intended for us to pray this June: That the world might grow in compassion

Let us pray that each one of us might find consolation in a personal relationship with Jesus, and from his Heart, learn to have compassion on the world.

Thanksgiving

We are united in gratitude for favors received and answered prayers of intentions for which we have prayed. Thank you dear God, for always hearing and answering our prayers according to your Divine Will and in your perfect timing, .

We are grateful for our priests, seminarians, Deacon John and parish staff who share their hearts and ministry with us. We celebrate the spring birthdays of Ranji, Cynthia and Maureen and Fr Gerald's 7 years as a priest. May they all receive an outpouring of blessings

We offer prayers of thanksgiving for an internship for Matt. May he be blessed in his work.

We share prayers of thankfulness for the Holy Spirit that guides, teaches, comforts, and empowers us to live according to God's will. Thank you, precious Spirit, for helping us in our weakness, interceding  for us, and revealing God's truth to us.

We celebrate the birthday of our church on Pentecost with joy and gratitude for the ways it leads us into relationship with the Lord who opens the door to eternal life for us.

We lift up our love to Jesus for sharing with us the gift of His mother as Mother of the church. Thank you Mama Mary for your loving care for us!

Forgiveness

We ask for forgiveness and make reparation for discord in our families, the dissolution of families, and lack of compassion, understanding and reconciliation between family members.

We are sorry for our ingratitude for our many blessings and the times when we do not recognize the Father's deep and abiding love for us.

We are sorry for the times when we do not love our enemies and do not pray for those who persecute us as our faith calls us to do.

Special Intentions

We join in prayers for the St Vincent de Paul team on rotation this week, may they be guided by the Holy Spirit and the love of neighbor in their visits to people in need.

We pray for peace. We lift up a fervent prayer that all may hear and follow the guidance of Jesus, the Prince of Peace, to lead us toward peace in our world, peace in our families and peace in our hearts. Dearest Holy Family, please intercede in the Holy Land.

We pray for the end to abortion and protection of women and preborn children. (USCCB Respect Life Intention)

We lift up prayers for peace, comfort and consolation for Elizabeth who has had three miscarriages which have all ended the lives of her babies at 3 months. We extend this prayer to include all Moms and Dads who have lost babies or children.

This Pentecost, we ask for the gifts of the Holy Spirit to come upon each one of us, our loved ones and parish family members.

Grant me the Spirit of Wisdom that I may despise the perishable things of this world and aspire only after the things that are eternal, the Spirit of Understanding to enlighten my mind with the light of Your divine truth, the Spirit of Counsel that I may ever choose the surest way of pleasing God and gaining Heaven, the Spirit of Fortitude that I may bear my cross with You and that I may overcome with courage all the obstacles that oppose my salvation, the Spirit of Knowledge that I may know God and know myself and grow perfect in the science of the Saints, the Spirit of Piety that I may find the service of God sweet and amiable, the Spirit of Fear that I may be filled with a loving reverence towards God and may dread in any way to displease Him. Mark me, dear Lord, with the sign of Your true disciples and animate me in all things with Your Spirit. Amen.

(from Novena to the Holy Ghost. Tan Books)

We pray for increased respect and understanding between people of different cultures, faiths, races, political beliefs and identities. May we live out Jesus' prayer for unity- that all may be one in Him. We pray for those mourning the loss of loved ones, especially Barbara Currin, that they may have consolation in Jesus' sacred heart, the hope of eternity and the care of others.

We pray for the special intentions held in the hearts of each of our parishioners and friends.

Healing

We pray, through the intercession of St Peregrine, Saint Leopold Maria Mandich and St Agatha, for those with cancer diagnoses, undergoing testing and in treatment, throughout their challenges and while living their recovery.

We continue to lift up all those that have been on our cancer list and are continuing their journey to healing.

This week we lift up all those having tests and scans, who are anxious about the procedures and the results, and Anthony who may have pancreatic cancer, for peace and the best health outcomes.

May all patients and their families have a spirit of fortitude, trust, peace, hope and, if it be the Lord's will, bestow miraculous healings! Above all, may they know that they are never alone in their struggles.

Through the intercession of St Dymphna, St John of God and St Benedict Joseph Labre, we lift up those in with mental and emotional health issues, including anxiety and depression, and seeking to be free from addictions. We also lift up their psychiatrists and professionals who work with them.

We lift up those in hospitals, nursing homes, homebound, that they may have loving care, many graces and peace to surround them and truly know the unfathomable love of God and their important mission and ability- to offer their challenges and limitations as a prayer.

We pray for all who suffer from Alzheimer's and their caregivers, for an outpouring of fortitude, peace and angels to surround them.

We pray for Vivian who recently broke her leg and was caretaker for her husband who may have cancer, for her healing and peace.

We lift up Lillian for healing of mind, body, and spirit and for peace that surpasses understanding.

We pray for all those challenged by severe allergies, including Ollie, that they are protected from serious harm and outgrow or become more able to manage this difficult situation.

We share in special prayers for all in hospice and their families. May Steve, Tammy, Veronica, Bill Johnson, John Cooper, and Lee Pettingill have comfort, peace and loving care to surround them during this sacred time of transition. May St Joseph, patron of departing souls, be close to them.

Eternal Peace

We pray for the souls of those who will soon die and those who have passed to the Lord, especially

Pat Currin whose funeral was this morning at St Bridget's in Maynard

and all the holy souls in Purgatory

May they be united with Christ in Heaven, and may their loved ones have peace and consolation.
